Highly Qualified Decision Makers
The objective of ProcessTechnologyXchange is to identify a select group of 30 senior level executives from food & beverage companies with defined new capital equipment project initiatives. To insure that PTX is a focused event that facilitates the development of strategic alliances, the editorial staff of Food Engineering will interview hundreds of Operations and Engineering executives to identify those companies with defined, budgeted capital equipment projects.
Once identified, these food & beverage executives are encouraged to invite other Operations and Engineering team members to accompany them to PTX. Executive Teams attending ProcessTechnologyXchange will include one or more of the following: Director of Engineering, Vice President of Operations, Director of Manufacturing, Director of R&D, Plant Managers, Vice President of Engineering and President/C.E.O.
Attendees must be executives with full decision-making authority and specific, strategic capital equipment initiatives.
Matching Food & Beverage Company Initiatives
A series of in-depth interviews will be conducted with each of the Operations and Engineering teams over the months leading up to ProcessTechnologyXchange. Only those food & beverage companies genuinely committed to meeting with suppliers will pass to the next step.
The goal is to clearly define the range of new capital project initiatives from each of the individual food & beverage companies invited to PTX. Each of these organizations may have 2-3 different projects to discuss with qualified equipment suppliers.
Based on the resident technical expertise of the Food Engineering editorial staff, these specific new capital equipment initiatives are carefully matched to qualified equipment companies whose products can match processor needs.
Processor Profiles will be created to provide background information on each of the qualified food & beverage companies, plus an overview of all of their specific capital equipment project needs.
Xchange of Information/ Preparation
Food Engineering will distribute Processor Profiles to the appropriate participating equipment and service suppliers. This detailed information is also included on PTX’s secure Xtranet, but is only available to the suppliers whose equipment and services portfolios have been matched to the processors’ needs.
This Xchange of information becomes the very basis on which both suppliers and processors begin their preparation for their on-site strategic sales discussions. This ensures that the meetings are not introductory in nature, but rather strategic, insightful, and substantive sales meetings.
The interview process, the Processor Profiles, the Xtranet and the preparatory discussions are all designed to achieve a highly successful event, bringing suppliers and processors to a more productive point in the sales cycle.
